Video Let’s Play – Informers: War For Cybertron episode 3

Episode 3 is up and ready, woohoo!

This time it’s mostly talking about some of Megatron’s different origin stories. The dude has had quite a lot of them, and most of them are fairly interesting.

It was also noted by my friend Wil that the game audio is still a bit loud, even though I thought I’d turned it down sufficiently, so I’ll remember to turn it down even further when recording mission 2. You’ll still have one or two episodes with this audio setting though, depending on how much footage is left of mission 1.  I think there’s still enough to cut it in two, but we’ll see tomorrow. What, you thought I planned this all out in advance?

    Re: “authentic”

Physics (like robots living on robot planets) need not be true to life for a story to generate a proper sense of authenticity (they really just need to be consistent, although IMO it helps if they’re not overly dramatized) – rather, the sense of authenticity you’re feeling from the improved Megatron backstory is one of /character/. There are definite, understandable motivations for what he does, and *that’s* what makes it feel real.
