Birthday Reunion Concert

[A/N: Another fictional character’s birthday, another short story! Since I learned Honoka’s is just two days after Chika’s, I decided to combine them. ]

“Happy birthday, Chika!”

Chika looked at the cake on the table in front of her. It even had candles, and her name in frosting. She looked over at the two sitting on the other side of the table. Riko was beaming, and You was grinning widely. When did they…

“When did you… how long have you planned this?” Chika asked. They were at a restaurant in Tokyo, not back home. So how had they gotten a cake?

A Model Model – Part 2

[A/N: Here’s the version where they are already dating. Part 1 where they are not is here. I had fun thinking up ideas for both.]

“Now try on this next one,” You said, and eagerly handed Riko a black and white dress, with a skirt in various hues of purple.

Riko smiled at You’s eagerness. She definitely didn’t mind modelling for her girlfriend, especially because of how cute You was when she got really into it. But the redhead had to wonder how You found the time to make so many outfits. This would be the third one, and it didn’t seem like it was the last.

“What’s this one for?” Riko asked as she held it up. There was something that seemed a little bit familiar about it.

“Oh, I figured for Halloween we could all dress in the same style as Yoshiko-chan,” You said cheerfully. She did indeed have a couple more outfits in mind before they were done, and she hoped Riko wouldn’t object to them.

A Model Model – Part 1

[A/N: I got the idea to write two different versions of the same story. There’s basically the same events, but in this one Riko and You are not dating, and in the other one they are.]

“Now try on this next one,” You said, and eagerly handed Riko a black and white dress, with a skirt in various hues of purple.

Riko had been quite eager herself when You invited her over to do some modelling, as she’d take any excuse for the two of them to hang out. But she hadn’t expected there to be so many outfits. They had already done two, this was the third, and it looked like You had more. How did she find the time to make them all?

“What’s this one for?” Riko asked as she held it up. There was something that seemed a little bit familiar about it.

“Oh, I figured for Halloween we could all dress in the same style as Yoshiko-chan,” You said cheerfully. She did indeed have a couple more outfits in mind before they were done, but things were proceeding well so far.

Silly Lilies 4: Silly Symphony

[Sequel to the events of Silly Lilies 2, set after Silly Sister]

[A/N: The Sillyverse is growing complicated.]

Ruby is almost ready to go, and Dia is fretting.

“Be home by nine, okay?” Dia says while her sister is finding her jacket and shoes.

“I don’t think I’m gonna stay that long, Dia,” Ruby replies. She doesn’t understand why Dia is making such a big fuss. She’s been to visit friends before several times. Okay, pretty much only Hanamaru, but just because she is going somewhere else for once…

“Do you have everything? Wallet, keys, phone?” Dia asks next. She keeps telling herself there’s nothing to worry about, but she still remains worried. Part of her wants so very much to tell Ruby she isn’t allowed to go, but that might just make Ruby upset. Even if it is for her own good.

Rooftop Heartaches

[A/N: Had an idea while half-asleep one morning, and I haven’t really written much featuring these two. So I  figured I’d give it a shot.]

Kanan found Riko on the roof of the school. It was a bright, sunny day, but the redhead was just staring emptily at her lunch box. She had barely taken a bite. Gusts of wind were rustling her hair, but she wasn’t taking any notice of it. Even when it flew across her face.

“May I sit down?” Kanan asked after she had walked over. Riko slowly looked up at her with dull eyes, then back down before nodding slightly. The older girl took a seat on the bench. She had expected to see red in those eyes, but perhaps Riko was past the crying stage.

Kanan hadn’t taken long to think it over before making her decision. She knew Riko’s heart was broken. In fact she and Mari might have been the only ones who had noticed. The rest of the group were so dense, buying into Riko’s act when she was with the rest of them. Chika especially needed to get a clue. But perhaps it worked in Kanan’s favour that she hadn’t.

Seasons of Romance

[A/N: Just some short stories based on a cute tweet I saw. Not pairings I’d normally go for. The stories are set in different seasons, but I figured I could at least arrange them chronologically. I wrote them in reverse order.]

The cherry blossoms were falling, and Yohane was watching them float about from the window of the clubroom. She knew it was a normal thing to go outside and watch them, but she didn’t like the way they always seemed to end up clinging to her, and getting in her hair. That part probably wasn’t normal.

Besides, it would probably somehow start to rain if she wanted to enjoy the nice weather. Even though the sky didn’t have a single cloud in it today. They had a way of sneaking up on her. Speaking of…

Celebrated Gem

[Follow-up to Fallen Gem]

Hanamaru was proud of her role in getting Ruby and Yoshiko together. She was glad the two of them had made up, and seemed to be doing well together.

It was a bit of a lapse on her part to not notice Ruby’s feelings for Yoshiko before Ruby went and confessed. Maybe she could have helped make that all… less messy. She had thought she had a better head and eye for those things than both of them put together, but to her credit Ruby had managed to slip entirely under the radar.

There was also this new sense of confidence to Ruby now. Whenever she saw Ruby and Yoshiko together, Ruby seemed to be the one in the lead. Seemed like there was finally something someone was more shy about than Ruby, and Hanamaru could tell her friend found great joy in that. It was nice seeing them together.

Silly Lilies 2: Silly Riri

[Sequel to Silly Lilies]

Ruby has kept an eye out today, but Chika and You have not exhibited any more strange behaviour. No paper bags, no wall slamming. She still catches them glancing at her sometimes. Yet they seem to have calmed down, and Ruby is thankful for it. Perhaps things will return to normal now.

After practice Ruby heads back to grab something she forgot in the classroom. Hanamaru asked if Ruby wanted her to wait, but that’s fine. Hanamaru’s been spending a lot of time with Yoshiko lately, so Ruby wouldn’t have walked home with her anyway.
