Wulf Space Jam – Match 6: Vs Marauding Mashers (Chaos)

Interlude 1

Match 5

Match 7

Okay, time to stop being distracted by other games and get on with the show. We’re moving into Division 3 of the Shamoose Invitational, and it’s time to face something new.

May the best Chaos win!

There are different teams in Blood Bowl serving different Chaos gods. We are one of them, and the Marauding Mashers are another. Honestly I am not familiar enough with Warhammer to know which Chaos God either of us are serving, but regardless I assume we’re at war. Even if it’s the same god.

Wulf Space Jam – Interlude: End of Division 4

Team Intro

Match 5

Match 6

So we find ourselves in a transitional period as we’re waiting for the Division 3 matches to start up. I figured we’d take to time to check in on our players, and see what sort of opposition we’re up against in Division 3.

Campaigning against the sun!

But before we get into that, we will introduce our newest player!

Wulf Space Jam – Match 5: Vs Arnheim Seahawks (High Elf)

Match 4

Interlude 1

Match 6

Here we are! Final match of Division 4. Looking at the rankings now, we have won. We’ll be moving on. Even if our opponents win, we will have more points than them. No one can reach us. So winning or losing is not the most important thing about our next match, we have a much more important objective.

Break! Break! Break!

Break as many elves as we can. We are now facing the Arnheim Seahawks, who are a High Elf team, and they are the richest, snottiest, ponciest elves you could ever find. While I by no means intend to make it easy for them to score a touchdown, I do have to face the fact that in the past there are two teams I’ve actually lost against, and not just had a draw. One was a Dark Elf team, and the other a High Elf team.

Wulf Space Jam – Match 4: Vs Ragnarite Pythons (Norse)

Match 3

Match 5

Our trip through the Shamoose Invitational Championship has gone pretty good so far. Three 2-0 victories, acquired by fighting tooth, hoof and horn for it. So it’s kinda depressing to look at the division stats for the previous matches and see that the computer teams somehow managed a couple of 6-3 results. That’s 9 TDs in 16 turns, and I have no idea how they pulled it off. I suspect the computer is cheating and doctoring the results.

Grab them by their helmets!

Well, we’ll now be facing a Norse team, the Ragnarite Pythons, and honestly I’ve not gone up against the Norse very often either. I know that all of their regular players start with Block, with the exception of the Werewolves and the Yhetee. And they’re good at punching, but have pretty low armour values so they can’t really take a punch.

They lost against Southstorm Squig Chasers, won against Bugmans Best and won against Arnheim Seahawks, the High Elf team whom we will face last in division 4, i.e. next time.

Collisions On Aether: Chapter 8 – Descending Towards Agon

Chapter 7

I want to try to get one of these out per week, so here we are again!

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

It’s been a more active time than usual for me lately, with several short posts being done. Maybe I should do more of those? We’ll see.

Wulf Space Jam – Match 3: Vs Southstorm Squig Chasers (Goblin)

Match 2

Match 4

My break is over, and Blood Bowl beckons yet again. Will our opponents put up a good fight? Have I lost my touch over Easter? I guess we’ll find out today.

When did they start painting rats green?

This time we’ll be facing a goblin team: The Southstorm Squig Chasers. I’ve only fought against Goblins once before, and while it started out tough, by the end they only had four players left standing. That was against my highly trained Nurgle team though, so I’m a little more apprehensive this time.

(Future Wulf note: I forgot to put on the grid and names before playing. I only remembered towards the very end, so the commentary might not be as good as usual. I apologise, and will do my best to not have it happen again.)

Collisions On Aether: Chapter 7 – Meeting The Sentinel

Chapter 6

Chapter 8

So Easter has come and gone, and with it the break I took for myself. I’ve been staying with a friend, and exploiting his PS3 to play lots and lots of Ni No Kuni. Didn’t expect I’d like it as much as I did, honestly. But I’m properly hooked, and I can no longer play.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

So now I have to get back to my normal schedule, and figured I’d start with another chapter of Samus’s adventure. Or at least give it my best shot.

This chapter is very text-heavy and image-light, as it mostly deals with exposition. You have been warned.

Regular text is Samus’s thoughts; bold is Wiki and other instances of computer text/speech; “” designates speech; cursive is the narrator.

Wulf Space Jam – Match 2: Vs Bugmans Best (Dwarf)

Match 1

Match 3

With our first match being a resounding triumph, it is time to get ready for the next one. The itinerary says we will be facing Bugmans Best next, a Dwarf team. Let’s see how well we’ll do against our former comrades.

We'll take their ale!

Dwarf Blockers are very similar to our Chaos Dwarf Blockers, but they largely have just other Dwarfs with similar stats, and not big stuff like our Minotaur and Bull Centaur. Still, we should be wary and try to keep any Troll Slayers they have down, and head off the Runners as best we can. Let’s take a look at their team composition.

Edit: Added a (hopefully) clarifying sentence to the description of how assists work.

Wulf Space Jam – Match 1: Vs Underworld Judges (Khemri)

Team Intro

Match 2

It’s a brand new day, and the sun is high, so let’s kick some arse. It’s time for Wulf Space Jam’s first match, and we’re not starting out easy. Khemri is a terrible race to go up against, but they’re only slightly more experienced than us, so maybe we’ll do alright. The one comfort is that they’re even worse at picking up the ball than we are.

Our dawn has arrived!

The Khemri are undead from an ancient civilisation that used to be one of the earliest Blood Bowl players. Now that the game has risen in popularity again, the Khemri have risen too, to join the game once more. We’ll be facing 4 Tomb Guardians, 2 Blitz-Ras, 2 Thro-Ras and 3 Skeletons. I will take you through what we’re facing in more detail, and then explain today’s topic, but if you’re not interested, feel free to skip to where it says “Match Begins”.

Collisions On Aether: Chapter 6 – Breached Temple

Chapter 5

Chapter 7

No, I have not forgotten that I am doing this series, though I’ve been somewhat preoccupied lately.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

When I was playing through the game the last time it felt like I had so many good ideas for what to say and write about this. I wonder if any of those will be remembered when I reach those parts of the game again.

Regular text is Samus’s thoughts; bold is Wiki and other instances of computer text/speech; “” designates speech; cursive is the narrator.
